sir josh is FINALLY tall enough to get a blue wristband. which means that he’s finally tall enough to go on the ghoster coaster.
poor thing.
but, this year was his year. we were having company for dinner and we had time for one more ride for each kid. of course, they each picked this one. since they weren’t tall enough to ride alone (it will be years before they are purples…) i took Josh first while Emily waited…and then we were going to switch.
after about a 20 minute wait, just as we were about to get close to the platform, Josh starts doing the pishy dance.
“do you have to pee?”
“no”
“are you sure?”
“yes”
“are you really sure?”
“No! i needa make! now!”
so, we get out of the line, walk the three miles to the closest bathroom, have a fight because he doesn’t want to use the women’s bathroom and then get back in line for another 30 minutes.
we finally get on the ride. we go up the first climb. the look of glee on his face was amazing. the kid was so happy.
and then we dropped. and so did his face. the ghoster coaster did not live up to his expectations at all. “mommy, we don’t ever need to go on this ride again, okay?”
and poor Emily, she missed her turn because Josh had to line up twice.ΓβΓΒ and she loves the stinkin’ ride. i’m sure i’ll never hear the end of this. from either of them. ah, it’s going to be a GREAT summer…
