once again, i was tagged by miss haley-o to do the Real Moms meme. i’m so thankful that Haley always gets tagged…and that she always tags me…because i’ve really wanted to do this one for quite some time. i was even going to use one of those “i tag everyone” to my advantage.
At first i thought i would do something funny….like real moms wear spanx. true. but not good enough.
and then i thought something heartfelt….like real moms are suckers for the unsolicited “i love you”s. true. still not good enough.
and then i thought something sad…like real moms instinctively will hold out both hands for their children to puke in. true. but, um, ew.
but then, as i watched my son eat a cookie for breakfast and head on off to school with his boots on the wrong feet…it hit me:
Real moms pick their battles.
at least he was eating something and not going to school with an empty stomach! at least he was wearing boots!
you can’t always win. so, real moms fight the fights that are worth it. yes, you must take a bath (but, you can wash your body youself). yes, you must brush your teeth (but we’ll get you a super cool superhero toothbrush!). yes, you must go to bed (but you can keep the light on for a little bit).
sometimes it’s just not worth the temper tantrum.

~ Izzy is in love with George. WTF? what happened to, um, Denny??? “You meant it several times.” (mcvomit) wanna take bets as to whether Izzy ends up pregnant? i must say that i’m so happy that Izzy and George didn’t go at it in the broom closet of sin.
~ Calliope’s hair. seriously, can we talk about it?
~ McSteamy is hot. hot. hot. hot. maybe hotter than McDreamy.
~i love Addison. and i’m so glad to see her glasses again! “Am i the go-to person for adultery?” love her. also…i think…i can’t believe i’m saying this…i kinda like the Addie/Alex angst.
~I surprisingly enjoyed Meredith and Derek’s relationship this week. the scale of 1 to 10 bit.
~i love Cristina. her whole “be kind rewind” thing was awesome. actually, the entire lunchtime table conversation was great!! i may actually be back on the Grey’s love train.
