i took the three kids glow-in-the-dark mini golfing this weekend. and it was hilarious to see how each of them golfed. Emily did the ‘ole drag-the-ball-with-her-club maneuver. so, miraculously, she declared a “hole-in-two” on every hole. Josh took to golf the way he takes to hockey. with full force and ZERO aim. so, he managed to get a hole in one into hole 15, even though we were only on hole 3. Isabella? i liked her style most of all, scarecrow. Isabella had no patience for the whole game, so she’d simply drop her ball two inches from the hole, and putt it in. STYLE, i tell you.
that was the most fun 23 minutes we’ve ever had.
the truth is, we were all much more fascinated by the 14-year-old boy playing Dance Dance Revolution. once i was fairly certain that he wasn’t having some sort of seizure, i watched in awe…and then decided that it’s absolutely imperative that i get me some DDR for my Wii. i mean, if it’s good enough for Ugly Betty, it’s good enough for me. even though the ‘boo’ in the picture?? that will be me…
…because i’m probably the WORST dancer on the planet.
seriously, y’all. i don’t dance. ever. i dance like this guy…
only will less rhythm, if that’s at all possible.
now it’s your turn. come on, spill it. what are you really, really bad at at?
i promise i won’t judge you. i mean, if it makes you feel better…i’m a really bad singer too. and my 6-year-old forces me to croak my way through all the high school musical karaoke songs with her. i don’t know which is more embarrassing…the fact that i admitted to you that i have a really god-awful singing voice OR the fact that i admitted that i spend many a night belting out “Start of Something New” like i’m Troy Bolton…
and since you MUST know…i ordered two suits from Victoria’s Secret.
and
(in brown…so all 4 pieces are mix and match...hello, frugal Ali!)
although last night i ate my weight in sushi with Tova and Frye…so i’m glad i don’t even get to even see these suits until i go to NYC on february 22nd. OH YES! it’s true…i’m planning to spend three fun-filled days sleeping on my sister’s couch and shopping like a beast. hello, Century 21! Hello, Anthropologie!
also, one of my besties, Tova, who i’m sure i’ve mentioned on here at least 150 times, is about to hit the big time. She’s been working really hard on her business and is finally about to go public with it. It’s called Magnique…and you can see it in all its glory on her website, Magnique.com
also…she’s going to be on TV today!!
so if you are around, check out CBC at 2pm. Her products, which are stunning framed magnetic boards, are going to be displayed on the CBC show ‘Steven and Chris‘
