Every week Joshie begs me to come to his soccer games. For some reason, though, something always comes up and there’s always a reason i can’t go. With only two games left, i figured it was high time that i get my arse to a game. i mean, how can i legitimately call myself a soccer mom if i haven’t even watched my son play??

it was just about subzero (seriously, my father-in-law left early because he said he was hypothermic. no, i’m not kidding. he did say that. i was kidding about the subzero thing, though. but you got the point..it was too cold for the short sleeves we were wearing) and Josh threw himself a few (hundred) tantrums (likely the result of waking up at 6 am) and Josh spent most of his time sitting in the goal and not actually making any stops, but we had ourselves a great time. and it didn’t hurt that i was the hottest soccer mom there (that’s a joke. sort of)

*just in case any of you are wondering, Josh LOVES soccer…he was just having a sort-of off day. typical because it was the one day i actually came to watch him.

**also, Emily’s shirt? was bought for her by Nanny Heidi! she accidentally used a bleach pen on one of Emily’s shirts instead of a tide-to-go pen and it bleached it. how sweet is she that she went out and bought her a shirt??!!!

  2. so what do you think Joshie is thinking as you are taking the picture of him crying – he is too cute .. that would be my son too – I opted out of soccer this summer just to avoid those tantrums lol. I love the timmy shirts, how cute!

  7. a) You are a HOT mom – soccer or not. (Sadly I am a soccer mom too, but definitely NOT hot well not yet anyway ROFL!).
    b) It’s soccer season here too – even though it’s winter – too hot to play in the summer.
    c) Jeremy has not thrown a tanty on the field but man oh man, he did a priceless one when he didn’t get No. 5 one week and refused to go ON the field. Totally embarrassing.
    d) How said is it when my 2 1/2 year old points to the pic of Emily & Joshua and says, “She’s got Crocs!”. (Oh yea, mine have all got ‘em, grrrr, but hey she’s got fashion sense at an early age LOL)
    e) Jeremy just looked at these pics and said, “Can we go over and play with those kids?” ROFLMAO.

  8. I sure hope soccer moms can have crows feet. I already have them and my kids aren’t even old enough to play yet.

It’s cold there? Seriously? It’s hell here – over 100 F and 90% humidity. You can wring the water out of the air. It’s awful.

  9. I have heard that the weather is totally gross in Canda ATM. I just got off the phone with my sister who told me no rain forecast for the next 2 weeks!

And well, it doens’t get “cold” here really but winter is basically when it rains and the average temp is about 17C during the day (so not too cold!).

  10. It was COLD? How was it COLD? I had to check the date on his post to make sure I was on the home page?

Have a great birthday for Bella and Noah this weekend. Sorry I can’t make it!? I’ll be makin’ like a hippo in a swimming pool, loppin’ it up.

You do NOT have crows feet!

  14. Crow’s feet tell the world “I’m a happy person!”
Anyways, I’ve been to a few soccer games, and you probably were the hottest soccer mommy there. And probably the only one that could get out on the field and give those kids a run for their money.

I love the picture of Josh crying. That is SOOO a keeper for his high school graduation party. Can you hear his friends now??? I can. They’re saying the same thing that MY friends said to ME about my naked man crayon drawing at the age of 4 named the Wing Wang Man. (He was anatomically correct.)

  16. Awww, the picture of you and Emily is crazy cute. Aren’t you jealous of her tan? You know I am.

And she and Josh look too too too much alike.

    STOP THE CUTENESS.

Speaking of cuteness, did Isabella attend the game?

Anyways, I just caught up on like a month and a half of blog-reading on yours, Haley-O’s, and a few other blogs.

It took me about a week. And of course, by that time, there were NEW blogs posted! Yeowza!

  18. Great pics! Love the crying picture especially. It’s so important to capture these sad/mad/tantruming moments of our children’s lives. We all know that life is far from always being a smiling photo op!
