do y’all want to hear about part 2 of my trip to NYC…wherein i didn’t actually make it onto the flight that the bitches at air canada so *kindly* put me on? wherein i was told that they overbooked the flight – the one i was guaranteed on because those fuckers cancelled the flight because THEY were understaffed – so i would have to take a 5:30pm flight to Newark? wherein i proceeded to
bitch
yell
swear
cry. cry. and cry again
(i so wish i was kidding about the crying. there were tears. lots of them)
until they got me on the 12:30?
or would you rather hear about how i spent an evening staring at Ilka’s BAG of Jimmy Choos that she bought at a sample sale?
or would you rather hear about my brunch with Metalia???
we had a great time at Bubby’s. and afterwards she and i walked around semi-aimlessly until we found an American Apparel and a Dunkin Donuts and I was in heaven. Striped knee-his for baseball AND iced coffee? sweet.
what is missing from this picture is Heather B. she had the most wonderful intentions of getting on a train and coming into the city to have brunch with me and Metalia. until her train had engine trouble and she had to turn around and go home. FAIL!!!
or would you rather hear about the total Jack Black lite waiter who served us, and served us, and served us margaritas at Tortilla flats until we were just drinking them straight out of the pitcher??
yeah…that’s what i thought…
too many good stories to tell…i’ll be back tomorrow to tell ’em all. well, at least the ones i’m willing to share. for now, my sister and i are off to Union Square for last minute shopping and then on to buy me some cupcakes at Magnolia…because i’ve eaten nothing but carbs. and have enjoyed every minute of it…and now i need to get me one of these…
