April 16 17

Today is making me laugh.

I think we are all just so done with this holiday that everyone is just a little bit delirious.

We tried to make plans for today but it was chaos. Nobody wants to do the same thing and all four horseback riding places we called are either full or closed for Easter Sunday. The girls are over Monticello but mostly they are afraid of all the Hamilton singing that would happen, and my mom just wants to go to the next town over to buy kosher meat at Trader Joe’s and maybe, just maybe, they will have some Temp Tee cream cheese because we have gone through 7 containers in five days. And by we I pretty much only mean Josh. Have you ever seen a 14-year-old boy eat? It’s an experience. It’s also wallet-draining.

I think we are headed to Charlottesville, Virginia to walk around. But first I have to set up my stepdad’s political blog and teach him how to use it the internet. But first that required him to remember his gmail password (he didn’t) and then that required him choosing a new password that was more secure. Fifteen versions of the same password later we got one. And we can’t leave because now we have to watch the last ten minutes of whatever movie is on the Hallmark channel. I think Robert Downey, Jr. is in it.

You see why I’m laughing.

Now everyone needs to use the bathroom.

And everyone needs a kosher for passover snack.

And everyone needs to fill a bag with kosher for passover snacks for the road.

And everyone needs to grab a water bottle. (But all three of my children are going to forget so they will fight over having to share mine.)

And now everyone needs to decide who is going in which car.

And if we should trust the GPS and/or Waze.

And now everyone’s using the bathroom again.

And should we bring apples?

My family is the best.

Even if they don’t want to go to Monticello.

  1. It’s funny because you are not exaggerating in the least. HA!

  2. Hahaha, fantastic! Family road trips are always painful. I hope you survived the day…
