Me: Emma, how was your day?
Emily: GREAT! i made all sorts of new friends. i even passed out a sign up sheet to the kids i really like and asked them for their phone numbers. and we already got to work on our new club at recess. did you know that we get three recesses? it’s amazing! i love it!
Me: Josh, how was your day?
Josh: fine.
Me: What did you do?
Josh {shrugs}
Me: you were at school for the whole day and you can’t remember?
Josh: arts and craps. that’s all.
sigh. one of these days he will talk to me again…i’m sure of it. he also really does still say arts and craps, and i will NEVER correct him. it’s comedy gold, i tell you.
