and then, before I knew it, I was on my way to Indiana to March for Maddie with two lovely lovely ladies, and a handsome little 11-month-old man. We hit up Target, of course, and had the pleasure of some random woman in the bathroom tell us about her awesome tanning lotion (wha?) and watching the sugarpants try on a stegasaurus shirt. We didn’t trust Gretchen the GPS, and followed our own extra-long route to Casey and the moosh’s house. We cheesecake factory’d it up and introduced the canadians to chick-fil-a, which, to their surprise, is NOT pronounced chick-FLAH. Sissy got me to try tea at Teavana, and hot damn, I actually liked it. Casey taught me the position. We got our behinds (swear whisperer, yo!) handed to us at Boogie Super Star and Casey turned Sam into the overnight-dancing-sensation, Candy Sam! I got schooled in the art of Mormon cooking and got to try Casey’s brownies (um, make those WOWnies). I got the best morning wake-ups by my new best friend, the Moosh, who is the most delightful little muffin.
yes. we had a good time.
but we never forgot why we were there.
not for one single moment.
Heather, Mike and Maddie Moo were ALWAYS on our minds.
and they will always be.
I don’t have the words, really.
We put on our purple. We had Maddie’s beautiful face close to our hearts. We released our balloons. We took the Indianapolis March for Babies by storm.
and I KNOW that Maddie was with us yesterday.
