“Mama?”
“Yes, my dear.”
“Wah papi!” (translation: i want my paci)
“I don’t see your paci. where is it?”
“duh no! where ma papi, mama?” said with a cute little shrug.
ah. she’s delish.
Isabella often surprises me with all the things she can say. not as surprised as i was when i found out that Hugh Laurie was British, but surprised enough.
I often underestimate her (and i did the same with Josh too) because Emily was soo verbal so early. no joke, she was speaking in full sentences at a year. and that’s seriously not one of those mom exaggerations where moms are all…”well, my daughter was walking at 6 months!” “Well, MY son was toilet trained at 10 months!”…she really, truly was.
i guess maybe because i’m not expecting it, i’m blown away when certain things come out of her mouth.
“i need poon! I do it!” (that’s a spoon to all you sickos out there) when i dared to try to feed her soup. she’s a very independent girl, you know.
“i wah Dora. i wah Dora. I wah Diego. go diego. go diego. go diego. i the map!” and all other Dora related cute little phrases she says 24-7. (i can’t believe i just used the phrase 24-7….holy crap, is it feeling a little 1996 in here or what?)
“Wah mulk. go nigh-nigh. wah paci. bye-bye. see soon. luf you.” before bed. is there anything cuter than that?
we’d likely try to pass her off as mensa material, but that fact that she calls her daddy “Mama!” is holding her back just a wee bit.
