i’m feeling like a new person today. almost like i had laser eye surgery or something. after 2 months – 2 months!!! – of waiting, and waiting, and waiting for my contacts to be ready, i finally picked them up last night (and my eye doctor threw in 3 free pairs for my trouble). it feels GREAT to be able to see without glasses. now, i know it’s actually NOT lasik, but go with me on this one, since i’ll never actually be able to get the surgery.
it was hot in our house last night. hot. hot. hot. i was stripped down to a tanktop and v-string, which for me is practically unheard of, since i need to sleep in pants. always. it’s just this weird thing about me. but it was way too hot for pants. it was almost too hot for underpants.
Emma decided that it was too hot in her room, so she packed up her things and moved herself into the hallway, so she could be under the fan.
now, normally, i would have thought that she was being a smart little cookie, sleeping where it was cooler…
…if she hadn’t been wrapped up cocoon-like in a FLEECE blanket. it was still pretty damn cute, though.
and yes…for those wondering…that is my pregnancy body pillow. i loved that guy. we were total besties for at least a couple of months there. he now sleeps in emily’s room with all of her other paraphernalia.
come visit me over at Fabulous today…where the hot topic is….something VERY timely right now, especially during this heat wave we are having in Toronto (it’s about fuckin’ time…it only took until August for us to finally have summer)…deoderant!!
