Isabella: Mommy! Look at the stuffed animal that Marni gave me! Isn’t it amazing?!? She only gave it to me to borrow, though. I have to bring it back to her tomorrow.

Me: That’s so nice of her, baby. Who is Marni?

Isabella: She is my friend who looks like a monkey.

Me: I REALLY hope you didn’t tell her that you think she looks like a monkey.

Isabella: Of course not! I told her that my mommy thinks so.

Part 2.

Isabella: That’s Emily, Josh, Daddy when he had a mustache, and me.

Me: …

Isabella: So, I couldn’t exactly put you in the picture of our family, because, well, there was just no room for you.”

Me: Or, I guess maybe I just don’t like to DAS.

Isabella: I really tried. You just didn’t fit.
