This blur with her arms outstretched?

Isabella-fair

That’s Isabella. Unfiltered. Unedited. Uninstagrammed.

That’s what happens when you take a third child on a solo vacation.

Yesterday, we went to a llama farm—where we hiked with llamas through the gorgeous mountains of Lexington, Virginia, we went to a blackberry farm—where we picked the first crop of the blackberry season, I ate my first blackberry ever, and Isabella ate her first PB&J ever, and we went to a local fair—where Isabella rode rides, forced her daddy to join her on the ferris wheel, and tried to win a fish.

She doesn’t even know what to do with herself.

She’s simply enjoying the pure joy of having her mama and daddy all to herself.

  1. That is so sweet. With 4 kids, I see the look of joy that they get just to have a few hours of alone time with mom OR dad. I can only imagine the joy of a solo vacation with both!

  2. I picked up the older two from camp today and told my 3rd child beforehand. Her reply: You are kidding me, right? Me: No. I’m picking them up today. Her reply: Please tell me you are joking! She’s going to have a tough time this weekend adjusting to sharing the attention. Enjoy your alone time – it so awesome. XO
