October 10 11

We have a case of croup around here. We have a little fevered first grader who is afraid to cough, so all the yucky is settling around her chest and lungs and making her super cranky super uncomfortable. I have logged more than my fair share of Spongebob hours while skipping out to try to get my challah stuffing and sweet potato pies in the oven. You see, it’s Canadian Thanksgiving today and at 3pm, I am supposed to be entertaining 20plus people at my very first Canadian Thanksgiving dinner.

So, obviously, at 9am this morning, instead of tending to the sick or tending to the turkey, we are doing this.

OF COURSE WE ARE.

Because during an encore performance of Toy Story 3, while @gavmartell and I downed our Tim Hortons coffees, while Isabella was trying to cough, our bed decided it was a grand time to up and break on us, sending our coffees splattering all over our rooms and sending our asses plummeting to the ground.

So, I urge you to hop on over to Curvy Girl Guide, as I am talking about a story of magic. About that song from Blue Valentine. It’s a good one, I swear. Or, if that doesn’t float your boat, you can take a peek inside my closet. Or you can find out what I’ll be doing this Friday.

And this Thanksgiving I am thankful for something very, very important.

I am thankful that my life gives me nothing but material for this site.

  3. You guys are a MESS over there. Hope everyone gets healthy and nothing else breaks. And next year add me to the list of Canadian Thanksgiving guests, please.

  4. I never knew that Thanksgiving is celebrated in Canada as well. I thought it was just an American tradition!
