September 7 10

My kids had the summer of their lives this year. Three full months of no school. Eight states: South Carolina. Georgia, Tennessee, Kentucky, Indiana, Illinois, Wisconsin, Michigan. Eight camps, nine if you include Camp Mommy. One ocean. One waterpark capital of the world. Three sets of grandparents. One trip to Ottawa. One brand-new house. Two hundred games of Settlers of Catan. Three dance recitals. One fashion show. One rib fest. A thousand bounces on the trampoline.

And I was right behind them, keeping up, camera in hand to capture every single moment of it.

It was a summer filled with good friends, good time with family, and, of course, GOOD FOOD.

What’s the best thing you ate this summer????!?!?!

Last weekend, I drove my son to Florence, OR, to meet up with friends who were camping. They sent me home with fresh crab that they had caught, cooked, and cleaned. I brought it home and had my husband (who doesn’t eat crab) crack it, then I ate it! It was so delicious! and, I didn’t have to do any of the work. Bonus!
