so..right…remember when i tried to pack for blogher?
and then i added two more pairs of shoes…and another dress to this pile??
well, in the end, i probably didn’t even wear 1/8 of what i brought. and what i did wear was mostly covered the entire time with the Old Navy trench coat i had to buy because it was FREEZING in SF (thanks, SLynnRo for convincing every. single. blogger. to buy your trench. best $50 i ever spent). when you live in CANADA, and people warn you that it’s cold in CALIFORNIA, you only assume that they are being whiny little bitches exaggerating. well, this was NO exaggeration. trust me. there were people walking around in tights and knee boots and scarves and hats (HATS!). in July.
PS..Old Navy? how come you are awesomely awesome in the states, but in Canada, you suck donkey balls?
truth be told…the only two things i really needed to bring were:
(note to self: self, must. get. Gap shirt dress. PRONTO.)
and
(note to self: self, must thank urbanmoms.ca for investing in me. there’s nothing more embarrassing unprofessional than showing up to do your first red carpet interviews with nothing more than a point-and-shoot. an SLR camera is big and bulky to carry around. but the pictures? amazing. i almost have my eyes open in every picture. relax, all you mockers, i said almost.)
case in point. ali loves to give the constipated wonk-eye (totally trademarking that) (it’s going to totally overtake stink-eye. totally) (my apologies to Jenny, the Bloggess. she really smelled rather lovely)

for the most part, though…the camera was magic. and allowed me to look semi-unwonked for pictures like this…
where i was sandwiched between two of my most favorite people…Jennifer and Andi. mwah. kiss kiss.
so, next year i will be showing up to blogher with a carry-on…filled with nothing. because i so didn’t need it.
who am i kidding?? i’m more than a little likely to do the. exact. same. thing. again.
i will never learn.
(also? next year…can someone remind me to actually give out my business cards? i went to all the trouble to slap ali-in-her-giant-paris-hilton sunglasses
