worth it. totally. [ The Girl ]

at first i was annoyed. a two-hour performance, of which she’s on stage for 3 minutes? $50 a ticket? that we have to buy on ticketmaster? it’s at the Ford Centre? she has to wear make-up? we have to buy her flowers? there’s no flash photography???

but you know what?? watching her up there on stage? even if it was only 3 minutes?

was 100% worth it.

she was GREAT. we still have no clue where she gets it from. i mean, you’ve seen her videos. my dancing? slightly resembles The Carlton…in other words, i will never be auditioning for So You Think You Can Dance. i wouldn’t put that past my daughter.

you know what else is worth it?

ice cream on a REALLY hot day.

We go to a dance recital every year to watch my cousin’s daughter. This year it made it to four and a half hours! All for about that same 20 minutes of performances. It does sound grueling, but you’re right it’s so worth it to watch them! They work so hard to get to that point, and boy do they shine when they get up there! I bet you’re one proud momma!
