she CAN be bribed…and i would make a good roommate…i swear… [ The Baby, the trips ]

so, yesterday after getting locked inside my office building (who knew that if you worked until 5:30, you need your employee badge to leave??! um, i guess, clearly someone who has never worked that late…ahem..) and after throwing out yet another one of these…

(note: not my actual cup)

(which, in case you are keeping track, puts me at 1-24…which should tell you exactly two things about ali. a) she SUCKS at rolling up the rim…and is entirely unlucky and b) she drinks WAY too much coffee)…

i’m pleased to announce that after being bribed with promised this

and after only 25 minutes of whining and crying, and no-less-than three stalling trips to the bathroom, Isabella. went. to. sleep. and stayed asleep until almost 7 this morning.

(which meant i got to watch James come back and watch America actually get it right last night in total peace.)

ah. glorious sleep.

which, really, is fantastic news. except for the fact that today the tornado that is my mom and stepdad arrive for the weekend. and since we will all be at Emily’s play tonight (watching her blow it out of the park as the very BEST flying monkey. ever…),

I will not be putting her to bed. so, i am envisioning a return of Regan MacNeil and i will probably be looking for a good exorcist come Monday night…

i’m seriously thinking of going to blogHer. mostly because Miss Angella has promised to hold my hand (and maybe make out with me) so i’m not that loser girl over in the corner that no one wants to talk to…and they walk by all “ali who?” “cheaper than wha?”

come on…we’ve all seen America’s Next Top Model…we know how it is when you throw a whole bunch of women in one place…yes, i’m looking at you, Fatima.

I was going to BlogHer, but I think it’s not going to happen now. Simply for the fact that it’s on the west coast (expensive) and I’m going to have a 1.5 month old at the time. I don’t even know if I’ll be able to sit yet, let alone sit on a plane and in seminars.
