i’ve been here for a few hours. we’ve gotten Emily’s hair cut (so cute!). we’ve had lunch at the cheesecake factory (holy eggplant sandwich. mmm…). I’ve opened up my $25 ipod shuffle (ebay…love!) and my 25 boxes of Girl Scout cookies (no, i’m not kidding. and yes, i am insane). and my JCrew clothing i had ordered to my mom’s house.

the trip has already been worth it.

worth having to leave the house at 6:45 this morning. worth the hour and a half we were delayed this morning. on the airplane. worth the 12 temper tantrums Isabella had while we were waiting. worth the three bottles of milk she spilled all over me and Emily on the airplane (mmm…cleaning milk out of stinky crocs…lovely). worth me having to say no when Isabella asked “mommy, make poo poo toilet”….i had a very unflattering mommy moment, “sorry, miss bella. i’m not taking you to the toilet on an airplane. you’ll have to use your diaper.” now this is why there will never be an end to me wiping my children’s asses.

Isabella has just gone down for her nap, with her brand new baby doll and her brand new barbie. Emily’s coloring with my mom and playing with her new Hilary and Hayley Duff barbies. and i’m relaxing.

yes, i’d say this is the best trip to my mom’s yet. let’s hope the rest of the trip is this smooth.

**not really the holy land. that’s actually Atlanta. bwah. this is more like cheese and beer land. but now with added cheesecake factory and DSW shoe warehouse.

  8. You’d rather clean a dirty diaper than take her to the toilet? Oh, you are a glutton for punishment. My sister told me she was bringing my niece over for me to potty train. she’s only 11 months old but my kids were done aaat 13 and 15 months so I guess she’s thinking it’s about that time. yay

  12. I only bought twelve boxes of girl scout cookies this year . . . but if I wasn’t broke, I would’ve bought more. I love to buy them in february and then bust out the last box of Thin Mints in the entire universe around, say, August . . .
