Entertainment Weekly did it. and then one of my girl-crushes (see, sam? i told you i have MANY) Snarkwife did it. a list of popular books, movies, music that i – a self-proclaimed pop-culture junkie – seem to have missed. or missed out on. you decide.

1. i have never read past the first Harry Potter book, or the first Lord of the Rings book.

2. i have never seen Lost. not even one single episode.

3. i have never seen any of the Lethal Weapons. or any of the Die Hards.

4. i have never looked at a Guiness Book of World Records.

5. i have never seen Braveheart.

6. i have never seen any of the Bourne movies. or read the books.

7. i have never seen The Graduate.

8. i haven’t made it past the first season of 24. or the first season of Alias. or Desperate Housewives.

9. i have never listened to The Black Eyed Peas. at least not on purpose.

10. i have never seen Citizen Kane.

11. i have never seen a Rocky movie, other than the first.

12. i have never seen Risky Business.

13. i have never seen an episode of The Real World. or Road Rules. or Big Brother. or So You Think You Can Dance. or Dancing with the Stars. or America’s Got Talent.

  1. I’ve never seen an episode of Lost either. Actually, a lot of this list is true for me as well.

  12. You have to at LEAST see the Graduate – there are still so many references to it (verbal and photographic) – even a stupid Jennifer Anniston movie based on it (but don’t watch that one first).

  13. The first season of Lost was pretty spiffy. After that, it went downhill FAST.
But the Bourne movies! Surprisngly AMAZING! I LOVE them!

  15. How in the world have you avoided seeing those reality shows? Goodness, good for you.

There’s only a few things on that list that I would say are worth your time anyway…

  20. I’m with you on a lot of these things. Except Real World. Sadly, I don’t think I have missed a season.

But the one that always drops jaws is that I have never seen Star Wars. Any of it.

  23. I’ve never ready Harry Potter, any of them…and I tried to read LOTR and just couldn’t.

I’ve never seen Braveheart, or any of the Bourne movies, or read any of the Bourne books. I’ve never seen The Graduate or any episode of Lost, Desperate Housewives or Alias.

The only BEP song I’ve listened to is their cover of “Weekend”.

I’ve never seen any of the Rocky movies, Citizen Kane or Risky Business, nor have I ever seen an episode of America’s Got Talent or Dancing With The Stars.

So…we’ve got quite a bit in common. ;)

  26. I happily share many of those blind spots too! I have never read any of LOTR (unless you count the first 3 pages before I got bored). I’ve never seen Lost, 24 or Alias. Never saw Braveheart and never will. I saw an episode of Big Brother in England and thought it was total crap and never bothered again. Then I moved to the USA and was very upset a few months after to see that they were going to do a American version which I have never seen and assume is also crap. I have never seen any of those other reality shows you mention and I’ve never heard of the Black Eyed Peas.

But I love all the Potter books.

  27. Okay I totally relate to numbers 1 (only read one of them) 2, 8 (watch DH not the other 2), & 10. But oh my gosh I love Braveheart have watched it multiple times, and actually saw the Graduate on stage with Kathleen Turner, Jason Biggs & Alicia Silverstone, it was awesome oh and Kathleen Turner did a FULL FRONTAL I saw more of her then I needed to but you know what MORE POWER TO HER for having the ta-tas to do it.

Great list as always, I got mine up 13 sexiest musicians.
