edits below!! with video!

i feel like Cartman this morning.

i need a Wii. must. have. Wii.

you see, the thing that i’ve always hated about the xbox is that, with the exception of Guitar Hero II, there really aren’t any games i like to play. i’m not into the racing games (sorry, Fry!) and i’m not really into the first person combat games. and i’m not coordinated enough to play the sports games.

but the wii? a.freakin.mazing.

Jack and Ilana got a Wii. Well, i suppose that Jack really bought it. and we made a pit stop on our way home from our really amazing anniversary dinner (9 years!) to get a fix of my favorite baby, Jadyn, and to try out the new Wii.

i’m an addict (apparently, there’s video evidence. when i get it, i’ll post).
and here it is!! it needs a little bit of setup. this was my first attempt at the boxing game. i was a little bit shocked because it was fighting against a body that had no legs and no arms. so, when Ilana (or Orit?) told me to punch the guy in the balls…i had a little bit of trouble because he had no balls. or arms. or legs.

bowling. tennis. boxing. awesome.

i’m the best Wii bowler. i swear. and the funny thing is that i virtual bowl the exact same way that i bowl in real life. only without having to wear someone else’s stinky shoes.

so, Karen Rani is going Britney. and i guess, she’s going Ali as well. She is waxing her cooter. for charity. AND she’s going to have the lovely Queen of Spain there filming – just her face, you pervs.

(jesus, i’m hot and bothered just thinking about it)

it’s no secret that i have me a raging girl-crush on miss troll-baby, and there’s very little i wouldn’t do for her. so, i’m asking you, please head on over to her site and convince her that it’s not that bad. that getting your holy of holies covered in hot wax is easy peasy. and while you’re there…could you donate a little bit to her cause?? she’s an awesome, awesome lady with an awesome heart. and soon to be awesome snatch as well. (by the way…i heart the word snatch like you wouldn’t believe. in high school we even dubbed our softball team, ‘the snatches’ – has a nice ring to it, no?)

Grey’s Anatomy Finale

~as Randy Jackson would say to Shonda Rhimes, “i wouldn’t say it was my best performance from you, but it was a’ight. it was a’ight for me, man.” there will be people in both camps, i’m sure. the ones who loved it. and the ones who loathed it. i belong in neither camp. there were moments of total suckage. and moments of total awesome-ness.

~Cristina. ah. the scene at the end. “I’m free.” love. free from Burke’s mother and her mother. and most of all, free from Burke. she totally blew me away with this scene. this is what emmys are made of.

~Burke saying his vows in surgery. i knew there would be no wedding. i knew that this would be the only time he’d say them.

~is there anyone who is going get his or her happy ending? because, life pretty much sucks for everyone at Seattle Grace.

~i was thrilled beyond belief that Alex took the high road and let Ava go. at least someone learned something from the Denny days.

~Bailey was robbed. and i hate the the chief did it to teach her some sort of lesson about family. hate that. because now Callie’s going to go and have her own spawn of George (note to the O’Malleys. having a baby does not a good marriage make). poor Bailey. my heart is breaking for her.

~the scene on the bench. my god, i just wanted to hug the hell out of both of them.

~i love love love loved the simple ironies on this show. like Cristina washing off her vows when she scrubbed in.

~I like that Richard was Adele’s baby’s father. but was that even possible? they’ve been separated for quite some time. i’m so glad they didn’t kill her. the scenes between the two of them were great.

~so…what i right? was it Lexi in the bar with McAsshat?

  2. My co-worker just go wii for his 14 yr old son’s bday .. he was telling me how awesome it is. I WANT one :)
I’m in the LOVED IT camp! So much so, that I had to watch Cristina’s scene again at the end of the abc show at 9. She was spectacular … Best scene of the night (well, the no-eyebrow cgi was pretty cool too…lol)
Awwww .. Alex … he SO wanted to tell her how he felt.. but you’re right, he did the good thing.
Adele I think was far along .. so it could be possible. Bailey .. she was also awesome in the bench scene. This show is one of the few shows that my husband and I can watch together, and he didn’t complain when I wanted to watch the Cristina scene again – he loved it too.
Izzy is still creeping me out….

  7. Nice call on Lexie in the bar… had no idea that was coming. So glad Richard was the baby’s daddy. That was sweet. Enjoyed very much Callie’s “we tried today, in fact.”

But as a season finale I felt like it was less than it should have been.

And now that Richard and Adele are talking to each other, he’s going to stay as Chief?

  9. I agree with you…some parts of Grey’s last night sucked ass, while others were brilliant! I kind of figured that Burke and Christina wouldn’t end up getting hitched. I’m glad. She was becoming someone who she’s not. Not cool.
What’s up with the Callie, Izzy, George love ring? I can’t tell what’s going to happen with that. Hard to tell. I hope that Callie can’t find the time to have a baby though, even though she wants one. And yes, a baby doesn’t “help” a marriage.
I’m glad that Adele didn’t die too. Also glad that Alex wanted Ava to be with her husband. I wonder if they’ll bring her back.
It WAS Lexi in the bar…Lexi Gray! I gasped and said, “Oh, hell no”. Next season should be very interesting. I do hope that SOMEBODY gets their happy ending.
Have to check out Private Practice come Fall too.
    Have a great weekend. :)

  10. Hee: you said COOTER!!! Too funny!

I hate that George failed his exam — like, who needs that?

I hate that Meredith’s being such an idiot with McDreamy. GET with the program — he’s freaking HOTT.

Who’s Lexi, anyway — Meredith’s half sister? Is she the new “GREY” as in “Grey’s Anatomy”??

  11. re: Baily being screwed by not getting the chief job in “her own best interests”. what a bunch of paternalistic crap. if a woman made that kind of decision for a man, how would others feel about it? better yet, how would the tv viewing audience feel about it? knowing that show is written by and for women for the most part, the most depressing thing about the chief job thing is that men making career decisions FOR women in the aforementioned paternalistic way probably happens more than i wish i knew about.

    sigh.

  12. Your wii envy forces me to prevent my husband from reading your blog ever. Him reading your blog would be like me reading the blog of a guy who loves to houseclean and buy antiques but wasn’t gay.

Translation: my husband would love you.

  13. You were SO right. It was Lexi in the bar with McAsshat. I was so ready to hate him again because of that scene and the previews. I have to say that he’s right that Mer’s constantly walking in and out of the relationship after last night’s episode. But can the PUHLEAZE just be ‘fine’ for awhile?

  15. I found you via the Queen of Spain’s blog. I really want a Wii too. I used to work at Nintendo so I’m doing my best to work those connections. I hear they’re great for everyone. They look so fun. I see why you hav a girl crush on Troll Baby, she’s pretty alright. Have a good weekend.

  16. I haven’t been in a position to try a Wii yet, which is probably good because I fear that I too would fall in love. (We did get a Playstation with Dance Dance Revolution, though — that game is pretty fun too.)

  18. UGHHH SO MUCH TO SAY ABOUT GREY’S. Right now, I hate Meredith, Derek, Izzie, Chief, and Callie (though not as much as the others). Meredith: What is WRONG with her? She seriously thinks she is in complete control of that relationship and he’s just going to come crawling back to her, but when he doesn’t, she’s going to go all depressy and annoying.
Derek: I’m just really going crazy with him
Izzie: If she really thinks George will leave Callie for her, she is sadly mistaken, because George has never struck me as the type to do that, and I think he loves Izzie, but I don’t think he’s IN love with her if that makes any sense at all.
    Chief: THE MIRANDA THING. WHY?!?!?
Callie: I feel like she just wants to have a baby to make sure George stays with her, and to upset Izzie, and I think it will work. Also, even though it’s not exactly her fault, she stole Chief Resident from Bailey.

  20. I’m not even going to go there about hot wax & my cha-cha.

Yes, I think it was Lexi with McAsshat…um…? I thought Grey’s was overall depressing. It really didn’t leave me in all that much suspense. Mostly just grief for all these couples. And Burke was much more a man than I thought. I’m disappointed though that they didn’t marry. So I assume when Meredith said “It’s Over” ~ she’s also talking about her & McDreamy?
