March 20 07

things my son did this week:

a) he took videos on my camera of himself and his friends

b) he squeezed an entire tube of toothpaste into our fish Dorothy’s bowl….and then dropped the tube in too

c) he put all of Emily’s stuffed animals into the sink and then ran the water

things my son lost this week as a result of said things done:

a) dessert

b) xbox – for a week

c) blanket (it’s still in one piece, though, hiding out in my closet)

good times.

***Update. Dorothy did not make it. She died shortly after i wrote this post. She managed to survive living in dirty water for most of her days with us – just under 5 years! she managed to survive not really being fed very much. but unfortunately, she was not able to survive her flouride treatment on saturday. come check out Emily’s birthday party pictures over at Fabulous. extended version over at flickr.

  1. Sound like so much fun.
Whenever SF acts up…I look to the nearest person and ask, “Isn’t this fun?” Strangers give me dirty looks. Friends laugh. I could kick ‘em all.

  9. Is Dorothy okay? I’m assuming so b/c you didn’t mention her demise.

And people wonder why I haven’t had kids yet. I’m truly afraid that I will not know what to do with them.

  10. Maybe Dorothy had stinky fish breath. :)

And after reading your previous post, part of me wants to let my daughter watch Dora, and part of me wants to keep it hidden forever.
I particularly like that your girlie called out to Dora in the night. That is so so sweet. In a way, right?

  17. Your son sounds a lot like mine. EXCEPT? Mine isn’t even two yet. He’s into everything and I can totally envision him doing the toothpaste thing (if we actually had a fish).

    I’m sorry about Dorothy :)
