1. do not crawl into bed with your daughter. you will fall asleep.

2. living in Canada is just plain ole’ dumb. i almost got into 13 car accidents just in the school parking lot alone. also, there are exactly 3 people that came in to the office today. i might just have to leave early…

3. i’m a big wimp. i went a whole, oh, i’d say, 30 minutes of Isabella crying her head off “i wah bah-no!” before i gave in and handed her the bottle. crap. i’m taking Jen’s advice and just lying to the doctor. i can’t go cold turkey…so we’re taking it slow.

4. my daughter? she’s cute:

5. having to drive carpool means coming in to work late…but it means an extra hour with my bunnies in the morning:

6. i have many, many guilty pleasures.

7. Baylie Brown was ROBBED.

  1. VERY sweet!

And, I hear you about the bottles… our daughter was breastfed until 12 months, then bottle until 21 months… one day we told her she would have to say bye bye “soon” to her bottles and she put them in a bag and told us to take them… that doesn’t mean she doesn’t still ask for them occasionally, but I think waiting until she was ready was the right answer for us.

  2. Enjoy your kiddo’s every moment you get, they are SO are adorable! And … “what’s your name?” “BELLA!” That’s so CUTE!

  3. You went to work today?
Hahahahahahaha! Silly girl! It’s a SNOW DAY!
The kids school was opened? Everything is closed here. Except the arena (of course!), so we’re going to shinny this afternoon.

Bunnies are adorable as usual. If she only takes the bah-no at bed and in the morning – what’s the big deal? When she turns 2 have her give them to the BirthdayBunny. Or wrap them up give them to a friend who is having a baby…
I like them to have some control in when they give up something so important to them.

I’m with you 100% regarding Bailey.

I too have an obsession with the real estate market. Sean thinks I’d be a good agent I am so into what’s going on around here.
And ya…me too – I want a bigger, better, nicer house. Sean promised me we’ll get it in 2 years.

  4. Too cute.
Do what you feel in your heart about the bottles. don’t listen to any doctor…they don’t live in your house, they are very ‘by the book’. No one in reality is like that.

    “Bella” is too adorable.

  5. Awwww how freakin’ cute is Bella?!?!?

And yes, Baylie Brown WAS robbed. Poor thing.

Comment by Karen on February 14, 2007
  6. Aw man, you’re at work?! Even my husband, who is married to his job, is at home. Albeit he’s working from home, but he’s home. I definitely think you should leave early…like, NOW. It’s shitty out there.

And OMG, YES, Baylie Brown was ROBBED!! ROBBED!!

  8. Your kids are adorable. Hang in there on the “bah-no” thing. Just take it away at your own pace…don’t worry about your dr. Yep, just lie to him. ha! What do they know anyways?? haha

  9. Poor Baylie Brown! Just because she was too dumb to remember the lyrics! Those girls in her group were just mean.
Your munchkins are ALL so adorable.

  13. Happy V-Day to you Ali! I’m not sure if Baylie was robbed. I mean shouldn’t she know the lyrics?

Comment by Waya on February 14, 2007
  14. OK…why was Baylie robbed? I am so out of it.

Happy that Bella gets to keep her bah-no…glad you took my great advice to lie to your dr :0

    Love the video and pics!

Comment by Jen on February 14, 2007
  15. My daughter was closing in on 2 before we got rid of the bottles. It was only for milk and at the end, it was only once a day. They never left the house. She never had juice or water or anything in them.

ANd I’m fine with that. Don’t fret – do what feels right.

And yeah, Baylie was robbed. I thought the whole show last night was…… what? Too short? They hardly showed any of the guys auditions – and NONE of the final auditions. Wonder why?

  16. Happy Valentine’s Day! You do have adorable kids! (and a super cute blog!)

I have mixed feelings about Baylie Brown. I think she was a cute girl and had a great voice, but she really only sang like one word when it was her turn so I think she kinda shot herself in the foot. But it sucked they let her go, I liked her too.

  17. Bailey Brown?? Never heard of that person. Something on the Grammy’s?

Your kids are adorable. I still haven’t figured out how to do videos on my blog yet. One day!!!

    Happy Valentine’s Day!

  18. We watched your video so many times that I’m afraid that Buttercup now thinks her name is Bella!

I hate driving in this weather. Hate it.

  19. I like Jeff’s approach — just wait till she understands just a little more so you can make a “big-girl” ritual out of the weaning?
    LOVE the vid! Too cute!
If I crawl into bed with the monkey, I know I will NOT sleep. I’ll be kicked in the face/throat repeatedly….

  20. What a bunch of sweeties! I like the idea of just lying to the doctor about the bottle. It will all work out at the right time. Some kiddo’s are just on different schedules than others! I didn’t think my son would EVER potty train…but he did.

Comment by Fenicle on February 15, 2007
  21. they are all cute kids

Comment by Anne on February 15, 2007
  22. About the bottles. We still give my son (2 1/2) bottles sometimes. More as a bribe. Our doctor has no clue. Honestly, he can drink from a cup (and a sippy cup). He’s smart, active and healthy. His teeth are fine. He just loves his bottle. So we go with it.
