things i did in new york:
saw a show – The Drowsy Chaperone. i highly recommend. hilarious.
saw a live show
bought something on the street (a hat)
took the subway. and saw a giant rat. but no dead people. (my sister swears that she saw a dead person at the subway station. she even reported it.)
spent a fortune at Century 21. seriously, once you get past the chintzy look of the place, it’s AMAZING.
slept in until 11. twice.
had my very first black and white cookie. to.die.for.
visited the world trade center site.
saw at least 500 starbucks. visited at least 12 different ones.
had a martini. in a deli. only in new york…
things i didn’t do in new york:
see one single celebrity sighting. not one. bah.
skate in rockefeller center. we really wanted to do this. but i was too fuckin’ cold.
take enough pictures. i was trying to act all cool and untourist-like, but because of it, forgot to get good shots. i’m not happy about this. (i do have a good one of my sister in her motorcycle helmet, though, and one of a giant subway rat…so, it’s not like i didn’t get any…)
visit the apple store. or bath and body works. or ann taylor. or ann taylor loft. or ANY shoe stores. the shopping was all about my mom so bloomingdales and saks fifth avenue it was. all day. every day.
prepare myself for how cold it was going to be or how much walking i was going to do. so, i froze and have blisters on my feet. i guess a tiny scarf and high heel boots aren’t a good idea in NYC in January.
exercise. even though the gym in our hotel was next door to our room. yes. next door.
i had a GREAT time. but, i was overjoyed to see the bunnies this morning. they were delicious and super happy to see us.
