…because it’s ALL over the place. see: things A-D.
thing a. i really, really wish they’d stop saying “…back in Kansas” on 90210. i mean, really? i get the whole “Toto, I’ve a feeling we’re not in Kansas anymore” thing. but, i used to live in Chicago. and i would never say to someone, “back when i lived in Illinois.” or “oh, i wish i still lived in Illinois.” i smell a 90210 “back in Kansas” drinking game! anyone? anyone? oh, also? what’s with the gap between Brenda’s teeth? How does something like that just appear?
she didn’t have it on old school 90210
but now she’s all gappity, gap gap.
hmm…curious.
thing b. speaking of photos (in what is possibly the world’s lousiest segue ever!)…notice anything different about my daughter???
no? not yet? how about now?
why, yes, Virginia…my SEVEN-YEAR-OLD daughter somehow convinced me that she needed side swept bangs. i took her to my hairdresser…where instead of airplanes and cars and walls decorated in primary colors and tvs blaring Dora the Explorer, she got her hair washed and she got to sit on the big chair, surrounded by women getting highlights and getting flat-ironed. she was in heaven. she hasn’t stopped smiling since. and if you knew my daughter
hello, teenage angst-y mood swings!
you’d know this was atypical behavior. she also hasn’t been able to pass a mirror without stopping to stare at herself. this, however, is completely typical of her.
thing c. and so, maybe he’s not the world’s most amazing swimmer…but my son has cornered the market on first graders being able to draw snails.
come on..admit it…those are some pretty awesome 5-year-old boy snails!
thing d. and yesterday, in my Working Closet shot, i professed my undying love for my new $20 purple shoes. i complain more often than not sometimes that our Old Navy is shit. while people find amazing things at their Old Navys – pretty! cheap! awesome! – all i find is crap. until i found these
hello, beautiful!
i also found this sweater after i swore up and down to Regan that we would NEVER have something that nice at our Old Navy
baby steps, Toronto, baby steps. We still need a target BUT BAD…but with the newly opened Bath & Body Works, AND an Old Navy that sells lovely purple $20 shoes…things are certainly looking up in Canadaland.
