think: for over skinny jeans or over leggings.

(PS. they are from ALDO. and they are $130. but i have a 15% off coupon…which essentially, in Canada, means no tax…since our tax is a freakin’ 14%….)

holy hell, did i just actually say that??!!

i never thought those words would come out of my mouth. ever.

although…i honestly never thought i’d say that i wouldn’t eat candy until november 7th, but i went ahead and said that too, now didn’t i??

and i probably never thought that i’d ever say, “sure…honey, you can give me that snotty off your finger.” but you can be damned sure that i said that to my toddler this morning…and it wasn’t the first time either.

  1. Love the boots for over skinny jeans! Who did’em, how much?

Comment by Cynthia on October 16, 2007
  2. Yay from me 🙂

Comment by Jackie on October 16, 2007
  3. Um, I’d have to say no to the boots over skinny jeans. But that’s only my humble opinion.

    Comment by b*babbler on October 16, 2007
  4. I’d have to say no. Unless you’re 16, then maybe. Just too much of what I see around my high school.

That’s just me, though, and really, I wouldn’t take fashion advice from me, so who really knows!

  5. I think you could pull it off, but generally, I say nay to anything with fuzzy balls on it. heh.

  6. I think they are cute but then I found a pair in the Walmart flyer I liked and they are similar only brown (and no fuzzy balls). I usually go for the cheaper brands when I buy fashionable boots cause I figure they may not be the style next season and if I pay a lot I will have to make myself wear them.

Comment by Chantal on October 16, 2007
  7. Are you tall and statuesque? If so, the YES! If you’re like me and 5 foot, 2 and hippy, then NO!

Comment by Jennifer on October 16, 2007
  8. I say YES – wear ’em and enjoy! I’m all about doing what makes you happy…life’s too short to worry about what other people think of you!

    Btw – personally? I think they’re hot! 🙂

Comment by Tova on October 16, 2007
  9. I LOVE them. But, I love boots. And, I love the fuzzy balls.
I got sort of similar boots last year (okay they were black and the same material but more slouchy) and wore them over skinny jeans and LOVED them.
    I still love them.
And I work them over leggings with a denim skirt – and got lots of complements.
But, I’ll warn you – the first couple times you wear them you feel ridiculous. Or maybe it’s just me.
Anyway, LOVE them. But, for the record hate Aldo.

  10. Actually, I’ve been kind of thinking that big boots over skinny jeans is cute for a while now.
    And sigh. Boogers.

  11. I love them. Yay.

  12. Yikes! I’m going with a big N-O to any shoe with a nutsack.

Comment by Andi on October 16, 2007
  13. Hmmm, I’m on the fence. I like them, they’d be cute with leggings and a skirt, but I wouldn’t like them with skinny jeans. Then again, after reading other comments I really hate the fuzzy balls. Sorry, gotta say no.

Comment by Dianna on October 16, 2007
  14. Yay! Canada is cold, you need good boots.

Comment by mamatulip on October 16, 2007
  15. Cute boots, but I don’t like the skinny jean! I have skinny legs and a size 10 foot! Skinny jeans make me look like a freak!

Comment by Ruby on October 16, 2007
  16. I can’t get past the fuzzy balls either. But then I’m also hopelessly out of touch with what’s trendy this fall!

Comment by Arkie Mama on October 16, 2007
  17. Those boots are AWESOME!!! Skinny jeans, definitely.

Comment by GHD on October 16, 2007
  18. They are cute, but maybe a little too Eskimo-Juvenile? You seem way cooler of a chick then that, Aldo did have some great flat boots (leather-ish) last week that would look hot with jeans (but then I live by an Aldo outlet, so who knows what is in the real stores).

  23. You are obviously far more fashionable than me. I’d so no….mostly because of the pom poms. Otherwise I’m sure they’d look great with leggings….still not into the skinny jean look.

Comment by Kie on October 16, 2007
  24. They look good! They’ll be so snuggly during winter & so easy to wear & look after!
I bought some mid-calf black boots for winter just passed and ended up wearing them everyday!!

Comment by Bronnie on October 16, 2007
  25. I say yay! But I hate them…But I hate to LOVE them… I say yay. The skinny jean is a must if you have a skinny butt which I do not.

    Yes.

  26. I was interested after you mentioned tax what the tax rates are like in Canada (yes, I’m an accountant) and I see you guys pay 29% tax as your top income tax rate! That’s fricken’ awesome. Our highest tax rate is 39%!
    I am moving to Canada!

Comment by Bronnie on October 16, 2007
  27. I don’t know, I kind of like them. In a weird, leg-warmer, ski-bunny kind of way. It’s colder up there, so yeah, what the hell?
