  1. Can I say how much I totally love your eclectic and unusual musical taste?

And recommendations? Joseph Arthur (similar to Damien Rice… listen to Honey and the Moon), Sondre Lerche, and the Ditty Bops.

  4. I’ve got Feist, and A Fine Frenzy, but none of the others. I will give them a listen!

Hmmm… How ’bout Sara Bareilles (chick with a piano and a big voice)? Lori McKenna (chick with a guitar and a bit of a twang)?

  5. I’m so lame. I’ve only heard of one of them (Queens of the Stone Age). I’m on a super Alexisonfire kick lately. Oh, and the Editors. And in answer to your question, yes I am aware that I have the musical taste of a 13 year old emo. Sad, but true.

  12. I feel so sheltered. πŸ™ At least there are others here that have posted that haven’t heard of your list, otherwse I’d feel like a major loser! (I was chalking it up to the fact I’m in the US and you’re in Canada, but I’m guessing that’s stretching it!)

  14. Great list. I’ve been wanting some new music to check out. Have the Feist song from the itunes commercial…need to check out her other stuff. Love that she’s from Calgary (where I’m from originally). Haven’t heard of any of the others.

I’m still listening to Mika and the Grey’s Season 3 soundtrack. Maroon 5 is a top pick at our house after seeing them in Vegas last month!

    Dave Matthews Band
    Dean Martin
    Gwen Stefani
    Irish Plantation Orchestra
    Johnny Cash
    KT Tunstall
    Norah Jones
    Phil Collins
